Richarda Dawkinsa kot slavnega promotorja »novega ateizma« ni treba predstavljati. Zgodba Ayaan Hirsi Ali pa je presenetljiva: zrasla je v radikalnem muslimanskem okolju Somalije in Kenije, po pobegu v Evropo se je povsem odvrnila od religije, napisala knjižno uspešnico Infidel ter postala ena glavnih akterk »novega ateizma« in tudi poslanka v nizozemskem parlamentu. Nedavno pa je postala kristjanka. Tako kot mnoge, jo je Bog »našel … v deželi puščave, v pustinji, kjer tuli samota« (5 Mz 32,10), v težki življenjski situaciji, kjer se ji je porušil svet.

As the famous promoter of the New Atheism, Richard Dawkins needs no introduction. But the story of Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a surprising one: she grew up in a radical Muslim milieu of Somalia and Kenya, turned away from religion completely after fleeing to Europe, wrote the bestselling book Infidel, became one of the key proponents of the New Atheist movement and also a member of the Dutch Parliament. But recently, she became a Christian. Like many, God found her “in a desert land … in a barren and howling waste” (Deuteronomy 32:10), in a difficult life situation, where her world came crashing down.

Dear Mohammed, who is Jesus?

This is my response to an Islamic critique of the christian view of Jesus, which I had received from a certain Mohammed on my Facebook page devoted to Jesus. Later I found out that it was just a copy of a standard Muslim polemical tract on the subject. I have written my response in the light of the New Testament and the affirmations found in the Qur’an.
